One of the main focuses of my ABOS class at KRHS was typography. We see typography used everyday in newspapers, magazines, advertisements, on billboards--literally everywhere. What is typography? Basically, it it the art of using type, text, font, color and other elements of art to convey a message.
We use cursive fonts to show something is "fancy" and bold to show that something is "important." Capitals can be used to portray shouting or excitement. Red and yellow are associated with food, and blue is associated with water, calmness, or coldness.
Here are a few examples of my own work.
