Legend of Thunder

Legend of Thunder is a pencil drawing from April of 2008. The preliminary sketch was originally abandoned because of my dissatisfaction with the creature and composition, but later that week I decided to go back to it and finish it by shading in the serpent and back ground.

The creature is some sort of levitating saber-toothed thunder serpent.  In the background there are my attempts at thunderhead clouds and lighting.

I still really don't like this drawing for many reasons. But I decided I might as well post it. Not every art work is a masterpiece.
