Succubus

December, 2009. Pencil. Finished.
Succubus and a pencil drawing done in December, 2009 on standard letter paper. It was partially drawn in my high school classes, however I had to be very sneaky about it to do so because of the nature of the drawing. Otherwise, I would be teased by my fellow students.

The drawing features a succubus on a soft bed with heart shaped pillows. The glow of three candles and the moonlight lights the room. Outside the room, there is a creaky old leafless tree and a hooting owl.

I had been drawing nude women before such as the woman in the field and the faerie, and this was a continuation of it.

Unlike most anime/manga artists, I draw people more realistically below the head. My arms and legs are thicker and less elongated than typical females. Unfortunately, the long, thin body is what make anime/manga style women attractive. But I'll stick with it anyway.

I particularly love this drawing because of its light and form. It actually appears to have some depth and the lighting provides a mystical quality to it.
