A Model's Portrait

November 3rd, 2011. Finished.
We continue working with portraits on the 3rd of November, 2011. This time, however, I was aloud to do smooth surfaces instead of planes. Of course, we had to start by working with planes.

The class started with several gesture and contour drawings, then finished with an hour or so long drawing with dramatic lighting. The poor model got a red rash on her neck from the spotlight.

I am pretty pleased with how my drawing came out. It looks pretty realistic, and, it actually looks like the model. Even the shading is well done (even though it makes her look monstrous).
