Pokemon Gijinka: Female Espeon

January, 2010. Finished.
Here is the second of my series of Pokemon "gijinkas." This drawing was worked on mostly during my high school classes. Of all the series, this one was the most difficult to draw. The pose is unusual-that is, not one I draw frequently- and I had no references to draw from. The drawing took approximately two hours to complete. It was finished during the month of January in the year 2010.

The drawing features the psychic Pokemon Espeon from the second generation of Pokemon, and the Johto Region. There are no hidden Pokemon in this particular drawing (should have though!) The Espeon woman is waring a Japanese kimono. She has the ears, tail, gemstone, and hairstyle of the Pokemon. She is laying on a large branch of a sakura tree. Because this Pokemon evolves from Eevee during the morning, it is the break of dawn.

The perspective in this drawing is not perfect, but nonetheless I love the background and lighting. I need to work on being more patient and including more detail in the trees.
