Phoenix Fire

Phoenix Fire is a drawing completed in May 2008.   I drew in in my own free time during school hours, between or during classes.

The drawing features the bird of fire-the phoenix. It flies over fiery volcanoes on a dark night. The volcanoes glow with the heat of lava and light of the phoenix.

The phoenix was created by simply erasing parts of the background. Some details were redrawn back in to define the form more. It was later redrawn from scratch, in oil pastel in the year 2011.
