Forest Path

Forest Path is a pencil drawing from back in September, 2008. It was one of my earliest experiments with dramatic lighting.

The drawing features a Fairy Leaf Dragon flying in the midst of a forest. Light streams though the opening of that forest tunnel. Autumn leaves fall from the trees and float peacefully down.

One thing I love about the drawing is the detail. The  dents in the bark, leaves, branches and ground all have such great texture. The creature design leaves something to be desired, but I figured I should try a new species or variety of dragon rather than the same old thing again and again.
