Dryad Day

Dryad Day is a pencil sketch done in February 2011. The drawing was completed in my own time during both home and school hours.

The drawing features a dryad woman sitting in a tree sleepily. It is rather lonely living in a lone tree among hills and hills of grass.

The inspiration for this drawing came from wanting to draw a tree. I love the detail and naturalness of trees, especially older trees. Wanting to make my drawing more interesting, I added a dryad woman sitting in the tree.
