Deceptive

Deceptive is a standard pencil drawing from March 2009. I drew it during my free time (and class time) during school. This was one of there very first times I used my erase technique to create lighting effects.

The drawing features a cartoon dragon. It is a thorned-vine dragon. Its vines can be used like tentacles to bind prey or as clubs. It lives deep in the dark forest, where only tiny steams of light come through.

The drawing was very well received by my peers. They admired my lighting and shading technique, and liked the character design of the seemingly mischievous dragon.
