A Purrtrait

2009. Conte crayon.

A Purrtrait is an animal portrait done for my Portfolio Development I Class in 2009. The piece was a free project, with no rules or limitations other than the media-conte crayon.

The portrait was drawn from a photograph I took myself. I used artistic license in some areas.

In the drawing, my male cat named Rowser sleeps peacefully on a white bed sheet. I believe the drawing captures the innocence and sweetness of the moment.
